CommonSpirit Memorial is seeking a Surgical RN to deliver comprehensive perioperative care across diverse service lines in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will assess patients, administer medications, manage care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires a nursing degree, TN RN licensure, and CPR certification at hire, with preferred experience in perioperative areas or ICU.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgical RN, you will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population, often from specialized service lines like cardiac, orthopedic, or critical care, continuously building your education and experience.

Every day you will perform patient assessments, administer medications, manage complex care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, adapting to rapidly changing needs in a fast-paced environment.

To be successful in this role, you will possess an enthusiastic, patient-first mindset, keen assessment skills, critical thinking, and a sense of urgency, thriving in a dynamic clinical setting where no two days are alike.

• Skilled performance in extreme life threatening emergencies.
• Prioritizing, coordinating, and meeting multiple patient needs and requests in a timely manner.
• Anticipating and preventing periods of extreme workload within a shift as evidenced by good time management and organizational skills.
• Detection and documentation of significant changes in a patient’s condition.
• Assist patients to understand their illness and the effects of lifestyle including diet, activity, smoking and weight loss.
• Assess and evaluate a patient’s readiness to learn, and consider factors affecting a patient’s learning ability and knowledge level.

Pay Range

$36.42 - $54.17 /hour
