Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Tennessee seeks a Surgical RN to provide comprehensive perioperative care across service lines such as cardiac, orthopedic, and critical care, while continually building your education and experience.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program, upon hire.
  • Registered Nurse: TN, upon hire.
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's of Nursing and perioperative surgical area or ICU experience.

  • Skilled performance in extreme life threatening emergencies.
  • Prioritizing, coordinating, and meeting multiple patient needs and requests in a timely manner.
  • Anticipating and preventing periods of extreme workload within a shift as evidenced by good time management and organizational skills.
  • Detection and documentation of significant changes in a patient’s condition.
  • Assist patients to understand their illness and the effects of lifestyle including diet, activity, smoking and weight loss.
  • Assess and evaluate a patient’s readiness to learn, and consider factors affecting a patient’s learning ability and knowledge level.
