Responsibilities include:

• Transporting patients, oxygen, medications, and specimens throughout the hospital, and collecting wheelchairs and stretchers as needed.
• Performing all other duties as assigned.

Essential Role Responsibilities:

• Transport patients to specified destinations using required equipment, notify department staff of patient arrivals and departures, and return equipment to storage upon completion.
• Accurately record transportation data in departmental logs and on nursing/testing units.
• Record all arrival and delivery information for Radiology patients in EPIC, as required.
• Perform oxygen rounds, replace empty tanks, and report damages.
• Transport specimens and medications safely and record delivery details, wearing PPE as needed.
• Report defective equipment, notify supervisor, and deliver to Plant Operations; clean equipment within two hours of return.
• Replace wheelchairs and stretchers after use, and conduct inventory rounds twice daily.
• Perform dispatch functions based on departmental priorities, recording all calls with relevant details.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Basic Life Support certification required within 90 days of hire.
