Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years' patient care and/or hospital patient experience, or currently enrolled in endoscopy technician program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up pre-procedure equipment.
• Assist with specimen collection intra-procedure.
• Assist intra-procedure under physician direction and with RN.
• Handle scopes, light sources, and video equipment properly.
• Transport used equipment post-procedure to reprocessing area.
• Clean and reprocess endoscopic equipment per standards.
• Maintain sterilization and disinfection logs and records.
• Prioritize cleaning based on day’s schedule.
• Work across multiple procedure rooms and on-call as needed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for reprocessing.
• Support department initiatives and room turnover efficiency.
• Communicate changes to coworkers and maintain patient confidentiality.
