Job summary

The University of Virginia's UVA Community Health is hiring an Endoscopy Tech to support endoscopy services under physicians and registered nurses. You will help with patient care across pre-, intra-, and post-procedure phases, assemble and clean equipment, label specimens, and ensure sterile technique and safety throughout the patient experience.

Responsibilities include room turnover, equipment prep, and assisting during procedures, with physical demands and occasional lead apron use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of endoscopy experience preferred; certification within one year of hire.
• Endoscopy Technician Certification preferred; Registered Medication Aid licensure in applicable state required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care throughout pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• Assembles required endoscopy equipment and supplies; maintains sterile technique.
• Performs specimen collection, labeling and transportation as needed.
• Assists with room turnover and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and equipment.
