Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of endoscopy experience preferred.
• Endoscopy Technician Certification preferred; certification required within one year of hire.
• Registered Medication Aid licensure in applicable state required.
• Has knowledge to modify care according to age and interpret information for age-specific needs.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care throughout the endoscopy process under physician and RN supervision.
• Organizes supplies and equipment for endoscopy suites and operating rooms.
• Assists during procedures and with specimen collection, labeling, and transport.
• Performs room turnover including cleaning and high-level disinfection of endoscopes and equipment.
• Maintains sterile and non-sterile techniques and adheres to safety measures.
