UVA Health in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an on-site Endoscopy Technician to support surgical procedures and instrument handling. You will troubleshoot devices, guide care and transport of instruments, and coordinate with OR/Endoscopy teams to ensure smooth workflows.

Minimum requirements include high school diploma and at least 2 years in endoscopy, sterile processing, or as a surgical technologist. Certification in CRCST/CSPDT/CER is preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package and

Qualificações

• Prior experience with endoscopy devices, workflow optimization, and instrument handling.
• Experience assisting OR and Endoscopy teams with room readiness and case flow.
• Certification in sterile processing or related field is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide on-site support for surgical procedures, including equipment setup, troubleshooting, calibration, and functional checks.
• Serve as a day-to-day clinical resource for physicians, nurses, and technologists regarding device use and best practices.
• Assist OR and Endoscopy teams with room readiness, case flow, and equipment availability to minimize delays.
• Act as the liaison between OR and SPD to ensure instrument reprocessing workflows.
• Help coordinate instrument inventories, tray accuracy, and case-cart readiness.
• Identify and upscale issues related to missing instruments or reprocessing bottlenecks.
