Job summary

Harford Endoscopy Center is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to prepare procedure rooms, handle equipment, and support the patient care team. The role requires knowledge of infection control and BLS certification; prior GI/endoscopy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include reprocessing scopes, maintaining logs, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and CDC policies in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification as an Endoscopy Technician or Surgical Technician preferred.
• Previous experience in endoscopy or GI setting strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of scope reprocessing and infection control procedures.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for use.
• Collect and reconcile specimens.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopes and related equipment according to regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate logs for equipment processing and infection control compliance.
• Monitor and restock supplies and inventory.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA, CDC, and facility policies.
• Support patient care team in maintaining a safe, efficient workflow.
