Job summary

Brown University Health in Attleboro, MA is seeking an Endoscopy Technician who works under the direction of the RN to assist with patient care and the endoscopy procedure. You will help process and sterilize equipment, maintain documentation, and support perioperative and CSD areas.

The role requires knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and equipment handling; 1–5 years preferred, CRCST preferred with BLS.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years preferred.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control, sterilization techniques and equipment processing.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician with endoscopy procedure.
• Cleaning of endoscopes: High level disinfection.
• Disinfection and sterilization of instrumentation in central service.
• Processes instruments for the operating room per manufacturer recommendations.
• Updates and maintains IFUs related to endoscopy/operating room equipment.
• Performs specimen handling in the endoscopy suite.
• Documentation and logs related to sterilization (temperature/humidity, eye wash, repair logs).
• Assists with transporting and positioning of patients.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
