Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls seeks an Endoscopy Technician (CNA, CMA, CST) to support physicians during endoscopic procedures and related testing. Responsibilities include reprocessing endoscopes, cleaning and maintaining supplies, and assisting with admit/recovery tasks as delegated.

A team-focused, patient-centered approach is essential. Qualifications include CNA/CMA/CST certification and BLS, plus experience with endoscopy procedures and endoscope equipment.

Qualifications

• Current nursing assistant certification or a degree/certification in medical assisting or scrub technician.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Experience in endoscopy procedures including procedural assisting and disinfection/sterilization preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge. Operation of endoscopy scopes, equipment & endoscope reprocessing units (scope washers).
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Can frequently and consistently make sound judgments under time constraints.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Can work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with endoscopic procedures and related testing according to the doctor’s preferred routine.
• Perform endoscope reprocessing and troubleshooting; clean, maintain and order supplies and equipment.
• Admit/Recovery tasks as delegated.
• Foster cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors at all times.
