Job summary

Northeast Georgia Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Specialty Technician to function as a specialty tech, teaching aide and resource person in their area, caring for patients from adolescent through geriatric ages. You will set up procedures, assist with endoscopic procedures, and ensure safe, aseptic practice in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum experience: 1 year recent Endoscopy or Operating Room experience (within five years).

Responsibilities

• Set up procedures with proper endoscope(s) and supplies before start.
• Assist proceduralists with endoscopic procedures and with specimen collection and preparation.
• Maintain safe and aseptic environment; adhere to infection control practices.
• Ensure proper room turnover and readiness for next procedure; report issues as needed.
• Clean and disinfect endoscopes according to manufacturer recommendations and facility standards.
