Job summary

United Digestives Endoscopy Technician role involves assisting with direct patient care under RN supervision, preparing equipment, and supporting the team during procedures. You will monitor patients, document observations, and ensure infection control practices are followed.

Required high school diploma or GED and CMA or equivalent; 2 years endoscopy experience may substitute certification. CFER preferred. On-site position with potential growth into back-office and clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant or the equivalent required, 2 years endoscopy experience may be considered in lieu of certification.
• Certified Flexible Endoscopy Reprocessor (CFER) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Explains procedures to patients and provides comfort instructions.
• Sets up equipment and ensures supplies are available for procedures.
• Assists physician during procedures as directed.
• Takes and records vital signs.
• Maintains infection control and cleans equipment per guidelines.
• Reports patient observations to supervisor/RN.
• Completes required trainings and back-up duties as needed.
