Job summary

Qualifications

• Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred: formal endoscopy technician training program.
• Competent in PEG, EGD, colonoscopies and bronchoscopies within 180 days of hire.
• Failure to meet competency may lead to action per policy.

Responsibilities

• Assists Doctors and RNs with endoscopy procedures.
• Repositions patients on stretchers and maintains patient safety.
• Assists in admitting and discharging outpatients, including interviewing and documenting on charts.
