Job summary

Elliot Health System's Endoscopy Department in Manchester, NH is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the endoscopy team by preparing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

You will help ensure safe patient throughput, clean and sterilize scopes, monitor supplies, and provide compassionate care to patients and families. Requires LNA or Surgical Technician cert, BLS, and EPIC familiarity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed Nursing Assistant or Surgical Technician Certification required.
• BLS certification preferred at time of hire; or within 30 days.
• Experience in an Endoscopy setting preferred.
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control principles required.
• Familiarity with endoscopic instrumentation and the digestive tract.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates throughput of patients during admission, procedure, and recovery phases.
• Assists under physician supervision with endoscopic procedures and related duties.
• Turns over procedure rooms and admission/recovery areas.
• Cleans and maintains scopes; follows disinfection guidelines and documents activity.
• Maintains supplies in procedure and utility rooms for safe throughput.
• Reports equipment issues and supports Sterile Processing when needed.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Provides backup support for front office and reception.
• Performs duties with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
