Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an Endoscopy Technician to coordinate and implement the endoscopy maintenance and cleaning program for Peri-Operative Services. The role includes providing backup support to the Central Processing Department as needed.

Ideal candidates will have a GED or high school diploma and training in endoscopic equipment cleaning. Certification as a Central Service Technician or Endoscope Reprocessor is preferred.

The Endoscopy Technician is responsible to coordinate and implement the endoscopy maintenance/cleaning program for Peri-Operative Services and provides back up to Central Processing Department as needed.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs
• Training in endoscopic equipment cleaning process.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• 1-2 years of experience as Endoscopy Technician.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician.
• Certified Endoscope Reprocesssor.

Regular contact with Medical Center personnel, patients and visitors.

Lifts a minimum of 5 lbs, pushes and pulls a minimum of 5 lbs and stands a minimum of 1 hour a day.
