The center also offers pre-surgical testing, post-operative care, and education to ensure a smooth transition back to normal activities.**About the Job:**To function as an integral member of the endoscopy team by performing a variety of duties that assist the endoscopist in carrying out a safe endoscopy procedure with optimal results for the patient. Demonstrates patient and customer focus by treating patients and others one serves as a top priority and by meeting or exceeding their expectations.**What You’ll Do:*** Facilitates throughput during admission, procedural, and recovery phases.* Assists under the direct supervision of the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound procedures, ERCP, fine needle aspiration with slide preparation, biliary and pancreatic duct stents, esophageal stents, esophageal dilations, specimen collection, and other related duties.* Responsible for turnover of procedure rooms and admission/recovery areas.* Demonstrates competency and knowledge in the manual and automated cleaning process of scopes. Adheres to manufacturer and regulatory guidelines. Documents processing appropriately.* Maintains an adequate supply level in procedure rooms, utility rooms, and office areas. Ensures the availability and preparedness of supplies and equipment needed to support efficient, effective, and safe patient throughput. Monitors for outdated equipment/supplies.* Returns endoscopes and equipment to the appropriate storage place, cleans, and ensures transport of certain items to the Sterile Processing Department. Utilizes appropriate chemicals for disinfection.
