Job summary

SSM Health St. Joseph Endoscopy Center in Missouri is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support providers during procedures. You will maintain a clean, sterile field and prepare instruments and equipment for endoscopy.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or 10 years of work experience and one year of direct patient care. You will operate endoscopic equipment, assist on procedures, and help with cleaning and disinfection according to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 10 years of work experience.
• One year direct patient care experience.
• Experience operating endoscopy equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/sterile field for endoscopy procedures.
• Prepares and maintains instruments and equipment for procedures.
• Assists providers during endoscopy and operates endoscopic equipment.
• Ensures proper cleaning, high-level disinfection and/or sterilization of instruments.
• Maintains organization and safety in the procedure area.
