Job summary

Huron Gastro Endoscopy Center in Ypsilanti is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to join our gastroenterology team. You will support physicians and nurses during procedures, prepare instruments, and ensure infection control and patient comfort.

Requirements include a high school diploma, CPR/BLS certification, and at least one year in a medical setting; GI experience is a plus. We offer benefits, PTO, and a collaborative, patient-centered culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a medical setting required.
• GI or endoscopy experience helpful.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of clinic equipment (endoscopes, etc.).
• Preparation and care of medical instruments.
• Set-up and maintenance of equipment.
• Positive patient interaction and communication.
• Support to physicians and nurses during procedures.
• Collection and handling of specimens collected.
• Sterilize equipment.
• Adherence to proper infection control measures.
