Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the Endoscopy team. You will assist the Endoscopist during procedures, ensure proper scope reprocessing, and adhere to high-level disinfection standards. On-call responsibilities are included.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and 2–3 years of GI/Endoscopy experience with strong teamwork and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required.
• 2–3 years of relevant Endoscopy/GI experience.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; able to work on-call.

Responsibilities

• Assist Endoscopist during endoscopy procedures across age groups.
• Reprocess scopes and maintain high-level disinfection protocols.
• Adapt care to individual patient needs and communicate effectively.
• On-call duties as required.

Position Summary

The Endoscopy Technician acts as the primary assistant at the field, assisting the Endoscopist performing the endoscopy procedure on patients of all ages. Scope reprocessing and use of high-level disinfectants.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES

• Provides care that addresses the specific needs of age groups from infant to elderly.
• Customizes to a variety of needs specific to impairments, such as hearing, sight, substance abuse, non-English speaking, and potential victims of abuse.
• Incorporates knowledge and understanding of our commitment to patient rights, our value statement, mission statement, code of ethics, and patient responsibilities into the performance of job responsibilities.
• On-call required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications: BLS.
• Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge + Skills: Must have working knowledge with scopes in the upper and lower GI tract and experience working with GI Physician. Exemplary interpersonal skills and the ability to perform as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, instilling a positive cohesive spirit to ensure customer satisfaction.

Compensation Range

$20.25- $30.10
