POSITION SUMMARY

Reports to the Director of Cardiovascular Services. Responsible for maintaining equipment for endoscopic procedures. Assists nurses in maintaining department supplies and assists in Endoscopy procedures.

Principal Duties:

1. Decontaminates, cleans, processes, and assembles endoscopes, accessories, and related equipment according to department standards.
2. Assists with procedures under the direction of the physician, utilizing accessories for therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
3. Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe environment, including preparing and cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting safety hazards, and managing inventory.
4. Tests patient care equipment for safety and proper functioning, including leak testing endoscopes.
5. Provides safe and effective patient care under supervision, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and demonstrating competency in basic nursing procedures.

Customer Service:

1. Greet customers courteously and professionally, following communication protocols.
2. Respond promptly to questions, concerns, and complaints, maintaining confidentiality.
3. Assist customers and facilitate smooth service transitions.

Qualifications:

Position Requirements:

• Current Maryland licensure in good standing, with a Basic Life Support (BLS-HCP) certification.
