Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a dedicated hospital aide to support physicians and patients in an Endoscopy/GI setting. You will assist with prescribed treatments, help the nursing team, and work varied shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and on-call scenarios.

The role requires high school completion, an active CNA registry or LPN license, and CPR certification within 90 days; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required per unit rules. Lifting up to 50 pounds is part of the job.

Qualifications

• Active CNA registry or active LPN license in state of practice preferred.
• Approved CPR certification required within 90 days.
• Additional unit requirements: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, NRP as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Supports Endoscopy equipment used and serves as a resource person.
• Evaluates new equipment, orders and restocks supplies.
• Works with Materials to control costs and assists physician procedures in GI cases.
• Communicates equipment problems to appropriate departments and participates in quality programs.
