Job summary

Blue Ash Endoscopy Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Full-Time Endoscopy Technician to join our surgical team. You will assist with GI and pain management procedures, prep equipment, and support physicians and staff in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and relevant certifications, strong customer service, and the ability to work as part of a team. This role requires BLS, prefers ACLS, and offers competitive pay with weekday shifts and no holidays

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification, CNA, PCT or STNA preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• OR/GI knowledge and familiarity with OR policies strongly preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and work as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN procedures.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during GI procedures.
• Maintain GI procedure area and equipment; document intra-procedure notes.
• Assist in Preop and Recovery with patient turnover and basic patient assistance.

As a Endoscopy Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our patients, while upholding our core beliefs of value, integrity, continuity, accessibility, and community engagement.

Endoscopy Technician at Blue Ash Endoscopy Center

Responsible for rendering professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures within the surgical center in accordance with established procedures. Functions cooperatively with physicians and staff, exhibiting teamwork characteristics. Prepares equipment and anticipates Physician and patient needs for GI procedures. Provides general maintenance of the clinical area and equipment. Oversees the GI procedures and maintains all aspects of the GI procedure area. Assessing patients prior to procedure. Document intra-procedure notes. Assist physician on all GI procedures. Prepares and maintains equipment and supplies in the GI procedure area. Cleans and maintains equipment per Center policy. Assists in Preop and Recovery with turning over bays, discharging patients, basic patient assistance and stocking

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Medical assistant certification, CNA, PCT or STNA
• Certification in Operating Room Technology a plus
• Current BLS required
• ACLS preferred
• Knowledge of policies and procedures specific to the OR and GI
• Strong Customer Service Skills
• Manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly
• Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment
• Must be able to function as a team player
• Possess the ability to lift 25 pounds
• Must be able to communicate and understand the English language, both written and verbal
