Job summary

Heritage Valley Beaver is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support the Endoscopy/GI Lab. You will assist in procedures, maintain equipment and ensure a safe, clean patient environment on Monday-Friday daylight shifts with on-call coverage on weekends and holidays.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, Basic Life Support, and timely completion of required clearances. Prior lab experience is preferred; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent, completion of training and planned orientation.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support.
• Successful completion of applicable clearances within 90 days of commencing employment.

Description

Department: Endoscopy, Work Hours: Monday-Friday rotating daylight shifts on-call Mon-Fri, weekends and holidays

Provides direct and indirect patient care and assists in performing technical procedures under the supervision of the Physician/Registered Nurse. Maintains a safe and clean patient environment. Responsible for the proper cleaning and storage of equipment in the Endoscopy/GI Lab.

Requirements High School graduate or equivalent, completion of training and planned orientation. Basic Cardiac Life Support. Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred: Endoscopy/GI Lab technician experience. Previous experience as a nursing assistant and in caring for medical instrumentation.
