Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician or sterile processing program preferred.
• 0-2 years of healthcare experience required.
• 1-3 years of endoscopy experience preferred.
• SGNA/ GI certifications and state-specific requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepare procedure rooms and ensure proper setup of equipment, instruments, and supplies for each endoscopic procedure.
• Assist procedural teams by anticipating physician needs and supporting patient positioning.
• Clean, decontaminate, and perform high-level disinfection of endoscopic equipment per guidelines.
• Troubleshoot endoscopes and related equipment to minimize delays.
• Handle, label, and document specimens and cultures per policy.
• Monitor inventory and remove expired supplies as needed.
• Maintain department records and quality control documentation.
• Assist with scheduling, preoperative calls, and medical record organization.
• Transport patients and supplies safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliable attendance.
• Comply with all policies and standards.
