Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking an Endoscopy Tech PRN for Comprehensive Digestive Surgical Center in Las Vegas, NV. You will work under the GI/Endoscopy Nurse to support GI/endoscopy procedures and patient care.

The role requires a Surgical Technology program background, 1 year acute care experience (ambulatory surgery center preferred), and a valid BCLS certification. Duties include maintaining a sanitary environment, high disinfection/sterilization of equipment, and specimen handling.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
• One-year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sanitary environment for your patient
• Demonstrate high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of GI equipment and supplies
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case
• Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens
• Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN
