Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an Endoscopy Tech PRN for our Float Pool to support GI/Endoscopy procedures across multiple ambulatory surgery centers. The role involves assisting with patient care under the direction of a GI/Endoscopy Nurse and rotating to different facilities as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining a sanitary environment, ensuring disinfection and sterilization standards, and preparing GI equipment and supplies for cases.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
• One year acute care experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center.
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment (online certification not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilities.
• Maintain a sanitary environment for your patient.
• Demonstrate knowledge of high disinfection and sterilization of endoscopy equipment.
• Prepare the endoscopy unit adequately and ensure availability of GI equipment and supplies.
• Clean GI treatment rooms between procedures and prepare rooms for the next case.
• Assist in the maintenance, care and labeling of specimens.
• Identify specimen with the surgeon and pass to the circulating RN.
