Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking an Endoscopy Technologist at Carillon Outpatient Center in Saint Petersburg, FL. The role involves direct/indirect patient care, instrument cleaning, and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers in the endoscopy suite. PRN, days shift; requires BLS and a high school diploma.

You will work in a fast-paced environment with strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and exceptional patient service. Prior related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 1 year of related field experience.
• Excellent bedside and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks in the endoscopy suite.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers of patients.
• Orients patients and significant others to the unit.
• Maintains environment by cleaning and storing equipment.
• Cleans, disinfects and sterilizes endoscopy equipment and stretchers.
• On-call and weekend duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Exhibits organizational and customer service abilities.
