Job summary

HCA HealthONE Aurora in the Denver metro area is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to support GI and endoscopy procedures. You will prepare rooms and equipment, assist physicians and nurses, and help maintain a safe, organized environment.

Qualifications

• Endoscopy experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration as EMT or Paramedic preferred; BLS required.
• Knowledge of basic clinical practices and equipment troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Preparing procedure rooms and endoscopy equipment, verifying equipment is in proper working order, and keeping supplies organized and stocked
• Helping position and transport patients safely and comfortably while using proper body mechanics to protect both patients and yourself
• Supporting physicians and nurses during procedures, including handling instruments, collecting specimens, and following proper safety practices
• Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing endoscopy equipment, and keeping accurate records for quality and safety
• Communicating with kindness and compassion to patients and families, keeping them informed, and supporting their privacy and comfort throughout their care

Education
