Job summary

Qualifications

• RN, LPN, Certified Medical Assistant or the equivalent.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions involving patient care policy and procedures.
• Strong communication with patients, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with direct nursing care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Set up equipment and ensure supplies are available.
• Assist physician during procedures and prepare/label specimens.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide post-procedure instructions.
• Take and record vital signs and monitor patient status.
• Report findings to supervisor or RN promptly.
• Follow infection control policies and safety guidelines.
• Post-procedure follow-up calls and accurate documentation.
• Maintain equipment and rooms, assist with admissions/discharges as directed.
