Job summary

St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY is seeking an Endoscopy Tech for a full-time, day shift in our Advanced Endoscopy unit.

You will assist with procedures under the Endoscopy Nurse and physician, set up and clean rooms, reprocess scopes, and maintain supplies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with Medical Assistant certificate, 1-2 years Endoscopy experience or LPN/acute care background, and ability to lift and stand long hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and Medical Assistant certificate required.
• 1-2 years in Endoscopy preferred; LPN degree or acute care experience a plus.
• Ability to do heavy lifting, pushing, pulling and standing for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with technical procedures side by side with the physician.
• Setting up and cleaning procedure rooms according to established guidelines.
• Reprocessing Endoscopes per standards and regulatory guidelines; prepare and maintain supplies, equipment and rooms for procedures.
• Troubleshoot minor problems with endoscopy equipment.
