Job summary

Atrium Medical Center Endoscopy is seeking an Endoscopy Tech to support patient care in Endoscopy and related areas. The tech will assist during procedures and ensure sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment are available, coordinating with nurses, anesthesia staff and surgeons.

The position is full-time, daytime hours (7:00am–4:00pm), 36 hours per week, with potential additional hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Prefer HUC or Endoscopy Assistant/tech experience.
• Keyboarding skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Endoscopy procedures as the primary assistant and ensure availability of sterile supplies, instrumentation and equipment.
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses, anesthesia staff, surgeons and other professionals to support patient care.
• Maintain readiness of all endoscopy supplies and related equipment to support efficient procedure flow.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Endoscopy Tech performs technical functions to assist in the delivery of patient care in Endoscopy or other areas of the hospital as assigned. The Endoscopy Tech provides assistance to other health care providers such as Registered Nurses, anesthesia staff, surgeons and other professionals. The primary role of the Endoscopy Tech is to perform in the ‘Assistant’ role during endoscopy procedures and by assuring availability of all sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Licensure: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR certification.
• Experience: Prefer previous HUC & /or Endoscopy Assistant/tech experience. Must have keyboarding skills.
• Skills/Other: Good Customer relations and relationships with co-workers, team player, positive attitude.
