Job summary

Atrium Medical Center is seeking an Endoscopy Technician to assist in endoscopy procedures and support patient care in the Endoscopy Department. The role includes ensuring sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment are ready for use, and collaborating with nurses, anesthesia staff, surgeons, and other team members.

The position is full-time with daytime hours (7:00am–4:00pm), totaling 36 hours per week and 72 hours per pay period.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current CPR certification.
• Prefer previous HUC &/or Endoscopy Assistant/tech experience; keyboarding skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in endoscopy procedures and patient care activities.
• Ensure availability of sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment.
• Support nurses, anesthesia staff, surgeons, and other professionals during procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized endoscopy area and equipment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Endoscopy Tech performs technical functions to assist in the delivery of patient care in Endoscopy or other areas of the hospital as assigned. The Endoscopy Tech provides assistance to other health care providers such as Registered Nurses, anesthesia staff, surgeons and other professionals. The primary role of the Endoscopy Tech is to perform in the ‘Assistant’ role during endoscopy procedures and by assuring availability of all sterile supplies, instrumentation, and equipment.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Licensure: N/A
• Certification: Current CPR certification.
• Experience: Prefer previous HUC & /or Endoscopy Assistant/tech experience. Must have keyboarding skills.
• Skills/Other: Good Customer relations and relationships with co-workers, team player, positive attitude.
