Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH) invites applications for an Endoscopy Tech at Winchester Hospital. The role supports the Endoscopy Team with room and equipment prep, patient care, and proper cleaning/disinfection of scopes.

Responsibilities include timely turnover of rooms and recording vital signs in a fast-paced setting. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, CNA training or nursing student rotations, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy, EKG or Nursing Assistant experience is required.
• Familiarity with ACU or Medical/Surgical is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms and equipment for procedures.
• Assist with patient care to maintain a safe clinical environment.
• Ensure equipment and endoscopes are cleaned and disinfected.
• Provide quality and safe patient care.
• Facilitate patient in and out of the procedure room.
• Turn over procedure rooms promptly (remove used scopes, change tubing, terminal cleaning) and ensure proper functioning of Endosoft.
• Obtain vital signs and record findings.

As an Endoscopy Tech for our Endoscopy Team, you will be responsible for the following:

• in preparing rooms and equipment.
• assists with patient care to facilitate an orderly, efficient and safe clinical environment.
• ensuring the equipment and scopes are properly cleaned and disinfected.
• Provides quality and safe patient care.
• Facilitates patients in and out of procedure room.
• Independently performs turn over of procedure rooms (remove used scopes; changing over suction & O2 tubing; performs terminal cleaning of equipment, setting up room, inspects equipment and Endosoft to insure proper functioning) ensures expedient turnaround time in a neat environment.
• Obtain vital signs and record findings

Education:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent And
• Completion of a Certified Nurse’s Assistant course Or
• Nursing Student with two completed clinical rotations

Experience:

Required: Phlebotomy, EKG or Nursing Assistant

Preferred : ACU or Medical/Surgical

BLS is required

This is a 40 hour/week, day shift position

Pay Range:

$22.00 - $29.61

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
