Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgicare Southlake is seeking a PRN Endoscopy Tech to join our ambulatory surgery team in Southlake, TX. Position is weekdays only with no holidays, weekends, nights or on-call requirements, offering a flexible schedule within a supportive, patient-centered environment.

You will assist the endoscopy team with patient flow, prep, and room turnover, maintain inventory, and help ensure safety and quality in a fast-paced facility accredited by The Joint Commission.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant or clinical training preferred.
• One year experience directly related to duties and responsibilities specified is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories.
• Patient interviewing skills.
• Ability to perform standard clinical procedures according to established protocols.
• Knowledge of patient evaluation procedures.
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
• Ability to adapt to change quickly; strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.

Responsibilities

• Assists endoscopy team with patients who are having procedures at the facility.
• Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning of the patient care areas.
• Endo Tech is responsible for provision of care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve facility goals as directed by the Registered Nurse.
• Provides centralized distribution and control of supplies and equipment to the facility.
• In charge of shipping and receiving, stores prepared articles and supplies in designated areas.
• Maintains and tracks inventory according to facility procedures.
