Job summary

INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Day Shift Endoscopy Tech to join us as a full-time member of the clinical technical team.

You will assist physicians during procedures, prepare the procedure rooms and equipment, and help with patient transport under supervision of nursing staff.

Qualifications include preferred knowledge of medical terminology, BLS certification within six months, and familiarity with endoscopy instruments and supplies.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months of employment required or anticipated.
• Knowledge of microbiology, anatomy and physiology preferred.
• Familiarity with endoscopy equipment and supplies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists physician during endoscopy procedures using aseptic technique.
• Prepares procedure setup with supplies and equipment.
• Uses aseptic technique to clean, disinfect and sterilize all equipment, scopes and instruments.
• Assists nursing personnel with patient care under supervision.
• Restocks supplies in cleaning room, procedure rooms and traveling carts.
• Assists with patient transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
• Requires certification in Basic Life Support Provider within six months of employment.
• A basic understanding of concepts of microbiology, human anatomy and physiology is preferred.
• A working knowledge of the following equipment is preferred: fiberoptic and video endoscopy systems, automatic sterilizing systems, blood pressure, cardiac and pulse oximeter monitors, suction and oxygen set‑ups, wheelchairs and stretchers and computers.
