Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to provide clinical support in the Digestive Health Center as part of the endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, set up and tear down rooms, and reprocess endoscopes and instruments.

The role offers multiple shifts (8, 9, or 10 hours) with sign-on and relocation bonuses available, reflecting Carle Health's commitment to flexible scheduling and staff growth in central Illinois.

Qualifications

• CER within 18 months - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA)
• BLS within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Excellent communication, hand/eye coordination, infection control principles; scrubs basic surgical procedures; problem solving in procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Collect data on assigned patients as directed by the RN and unit standards.
• Document accurately in patient records as directed by unit standards and guidelines.
• Maintain asepsis and sterile environment; ensure clean/dirty separation; assist with cleaning and sterilization of instruments.
