Job summary

The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a patient care assistant to support nursing staff by preparing rooms, transporting patients, and assisting with procedures and equipment handling.

Qualifications

• EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED.
• YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of patient care experience.
• One – two (1-2) years endoscopy experience preferred at PCA or TECH level.
• REQUIRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Excellent communication and manual dexterity skills.

Responsibilities

• Transports patient to and from procedure room.
• Assists patients in dressing and undressing for procedures and securing belongings in lockers.
• Responsible for stocking procedure rooms.
• Attaches proper monitoring devices on all patients.
• Takes pre-procedure vital signs and documents care provided.
• Discharges outpatients.
