Job summary

Abrazo Arrowhead Campus Hospital in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support Endoscopy procedures and provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will help prepare rooms, assist with patient comfort, and ensure safety and accuracy in daily tasks.

Responsibilities include communicating with the healthcare team, assessing patient needs, and maintaining aseptic technique and regulatory compliance in an ambulatory care setting.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Required Courses/Training: CPR
• Experience: On the job training
• Preferred Requirements: Experience: One to two years in Healthcare

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under the supervision of a RN, evaluates outcomes, consults with other healthcare team members as required and adjusts nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient care.
• Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age.
• Assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
• Interprets data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs and provide care needed by the patient group.
• Medical and surgical asepsis is carried out during treatments and special procedures.
• Communicates appropriately and clearly to team leader, coworkers and physicians.
• Other related job tasks or responsibilities as assigned
