Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse to plan, deliver, and manage direct patient care using the nursing process. This non-exempt, full-time role requires active RN licensure in Massachusetts and adherence to nursing standards.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, coordinating discharge planning, and supervising care within the assigned unit. A BSN is preferred; BLS is required and ACLS may be needed per unit.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
• BLS certification is required for every RN.
• ACLS certification is preferred if current.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the Nursing Process for delivery and management of patient care from admission to discharge.
• Performs patient assessment and reassessment.
• Develops and coordinates the plan of care including discharge planning.
• Directs, supervises, coordinates and evaluates nursing care.
• Delegates appropriately to others according to competency.
