Job summary

Mount Sinai Queens is seeking a Staff Nurse in Endoscopy to provide direct patient care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced setting.

This full-time, day-shift position in Long Island City offers the opportunity to participate in standards of care development, discharge planning, and nursing research while adhering to NY RN licensure and BLS requirements.

Qualifications

• BSN required for all new graduates and experienced clinical nurse positions.
• Preferred ENDO or Operating room experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care.
• Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care.
• Provide direct, continuous care for a specific caseload of patients.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including teaching and discharge planning.
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Participate in performance improvement and nursing research activities.
• Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for nursing practice.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care.
• Coordinate discharge planning from admission to discharge.
• Perform charge responsibilities as assigned.
