Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced RN for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center Endoscopy Unit. The role involves direct patient care, coordination with the care team, and adherence to evidence-based practices in a fast-paced setting.

The position requires an approved nursing education program graduation, active RN license, and BLS certification. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with 4 ten-hour shifts, no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where nursing services are provided.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care with patient/family involvement.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, mobilizes resources, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area as needed.
• Adheres to age-specific care requirements and department policies.
