Job summary

Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy Team on a PRN basis with no call required. The RN will provide direct patient care using the nursing process, monitor high-acuity patients, and coordinate with the care team to ensure safe, quality outcomes.

Education required includes an ASN with RN licensure and BLS; BSN preferred and ACLS preferred. Hospital/acute care experience in endoscopy or procedural nursing is valued.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).
• Licensed Registered Nurse (required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (required).
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process from assessment to evaluation.
• Care for high-acuity or critical patients in endoscopy.
• Coordinate and supervise care by support staff.
• Collaborate with ancillary services for safe outcomes.
• Include patients and families in developing plans of care.
• Educate patients and families about diseases, procedures, and plans.
• Advocate for patient safety, dignity and satisfaction.
