Job summary

Canyon Vista Medical Center in Arizona is seeking an Endoscopy RN to join our perioperative team. The role involves delivering specialized nursing care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures in a patient-focused environment close to home.

We require an active Arizona RN license, an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS/HAZMAT are preferred. The position offers four 10-hour shifts with some on-call coverage and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
• Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, HAZMAT and Handle with Care certifications are preferred.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
