Job summary

Ochsner Clinic Foundation is seeking a Nursing Leader to oversee patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act framework. You will delegate and guide licensed and ancillary staff while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license in the state, and a current BLS certification. Prior leadership and specialty certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification in clinical specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patients and groups.
• Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources on the interdisciplinary team.
• Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
• Supports privacy, respectful interactions, and professional accountability.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
