Job summary

Northwell Career Site is seeking a registered nurse to provide age-specific care using the nursing process in a hospital setting. You will assess physiologic and psychosocial health, identify outcomes, and develop and implement care plans in collaboration with physicians and the health team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
• BLS required, plus specialized certifications as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the patient’s physiologic health status and coordinates care.
• Collaborates with physicians and health team members in planning and implementing procedures.
• Displays leadership in coordinating patient care and directing the care unit team.
• Performs continuous assessment and documentation of patient condition and plan of care.
• Coordinates discharge planning and referrals, and provides discharge instructions.
