Responsibilities

• Provide family-centered nursing care per hospital policies and Nurse Practice Act.
• Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned.
• Supervise, plan, evaluate, and coordinate patient care by licensed and non-licensed staff.
• Demonstrate CPR according to American Heart Association standards.
• Adhere to confidentiality and infection control policies.
• Serve as a preceptor for new employees and nursing students.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess patients, plan care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Administer medications and blood products; start IVs; manage emergencies.

Education

RN licensure (Alabama or compact)

ACLS certification

Bachelor's degree preferred
