Job summary

Duke Health's Endoscopy Unit at Duke South Clinic seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Endoscopy Clinic team (2H). You will provide professional nursing care for endoscopy and pulmonary procedures, with a focus on patient safety and high-quality care.

The role requires a BSN and 1+ year RN experience; completion of the Nurse Residency within 12 months is expected for CNIs, with promotion criteria at 18 months. On-site schedule includes 4-10 hour shifts and on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program.
• 1+ years of RN experience preferred.
• Complete the DUHS Nurse Residency Program within 12 months of hire.
• CNIs must meet residency criteria within 18 months for promotion to CNII.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide and document professional nursing care per physician orders and policies.
• Delegate tasks and supervise other licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Assist nursing personnel and act as team lead for a group of patients.
• Monitor environment and equipment, maintaining care standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and competency validation.
• Support staff development and onboarding of learners.
