Job summary

Acadiana Endoscopy Center Inc is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team in Lafayette, LA. You will assist in the admit, recovery and procedure rooms, follow SOPs, and perform pre-procedure assessments while ensuring patient privacy and safety.

The role requires an accredited nursing program graduate with LA RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least one year of RN experience; gastroenterology experience is preferred. Excellent communication and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Louisiana RN licensure.
• Current BLS/ACLS certification.
• One year experience as an RN is required.
• Experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy is preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Works the admit and recovery room, as well as the procedure room.
• Follows facility specific standards, policies and standard operating procedures.
• Makes informed decisions to provide appropriate patient care.
• Operates equipment safely and accurately.
• Performs pre-procedure assessments on patients and reassesses as needed during and after procedure.
• Provides patient with information regarding procedures.
• Maintains patient privacy in conjunction with company policies, HIPAA guidelines and all relevant government regulations.
• Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment and universal precautions.
• Displays respectful behavior towards others.
