Job summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Endoscopy Department. As a Magnet®-recognized organization, we deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care before, during, and after procedures.

The Endoscopy team at BMC South performs upper endoscopies and colonoscopies, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes through teamwork with anesthesia, physicians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN; BSN within 4 years required.
• Massachusetts RN license with BLS and ACLS.
• GI/endoscopy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care in Endoscopy, including assessment, planning, intervention, and education.
• Communicate with health care team, patients and families.
• Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data.
• Follow BMC nursing policies and guidelines.
• Assist leadership in quality improvement projects.
