Position Summary

Registered Nurse (MNA) – Endoscopy. The RN adheres to the Massachusetts Board regulations and is primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care. The role encompasses nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation and coordination of care for patients and families across the health care continuum, while meeting clinical, educational, quality and fiscal outcomes under the nursing department’s model of care and agency policies.

Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing school with an Associate’s or Baccalaureate degree (BSN preferred). Candidates without a BSN must enroll in a BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete it within 36 months.
• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current RN licensure in Massachusetts in good standing, Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Experience: Moderate Sedation experience required; Endoscopy experience preferred.
• Knowledge and Skills:
  • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and interpretation of computerized information.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication with healthcare team, patients and families.
  • Organizational skills for prioritizing and completing assigned work.
  • Multilingual ability beyond English is preferred where appropriate to patient populations.
  • Relevant clinical experience or specialty certification for certain practice areas (e.g., enterostomal therapy, epidemiology, peri-operative care).
  • Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement projects.
  • Delegation of patient care activities.
  • Stress management related to patient care and organizational changes.

Compensation

Compensation Range: $38.05 - $79.47 per hour.
